Dear Clients and Friends, This year marks 20 years in business. Susan K. Wehrley and Associates, Inc. was founded in 1987 with workshops for Sales & Customer Service, Teamwork, and Leadership Training. Since then, I feel I have found my niche as an Organization Development Expert, understanding that it takes more than a workshop to change human behavior. As a result, I created my 5-Step Proven Performance Process for lasting, meaningful Organizational change with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses. The 5-Step Process includes: Assessing your root needs for Organizational Development, Training to sharpen your employees where they most need it, Coaching to ensure they are using the skills taught, an Accountability and Benchmarking program to measure desired behaviors and results, and a Recognition program to reward success. In addition to the Organizational Development, my commitment to organizational growth and personal empowerment inspired me to write three books:
The Secret to "I AM", The Power to Believe, and The Personal Leadership Puzzle. Her newest and fourth release, P.A.U.S.E, will be out in the bookstores sometime this summer. Each of these books focus on Personal Empowerment skills, including learning to trust one self and one's own intuition, overcoming fear and self-doubt, and learning to live in a more empowered way in the moment-to-moment choices before us. By living in this way we can create the life we want, be prosperous and be fulfilled instead of exhausted, both at work and at home. Susan's Life Story:
Education and Experience: Susan grew up in Shorewood, WI (maiden name Sue Morrison) and graduated from Shorewood High School in 1977. She then spent 3 out of 4 of her college years at the University of Wisconsin -- Eau Claire. She completed her final year at the University of Wisconsin -- Milwaukee with a degree in Business and Communication. Shortly after graduation, Susan began teaching Dale Carnegie Courses. She later became the #1 Sales Executive for Advo, Inc., a leading direct mail company. In 1987, Susan went back to school to study graduate level coursework at Marquette University to conduct research on how to develop effective Adult Development Programs that were authentic and practical rather than scripted and theoretical. Her work at Marquette prompted her to launch her own management training and consulting company that same year in 1987. Twenty years later, Susan's programs are enriched by practical tips and success stories from her experience working with major corporations like Harley-Davidson, Pepsi-Cola, Rockwell International, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, and Johnson Controls, just to name a few. Susan K. Wehrley has written three books, The Secret to "I AM" , The Power to Believe and The Personal Leadership Puzzle. She has had her own radio show called, Performance Solutions, for the last 5 years in Wisconsin and Arizona on Clear Channel Radio (WISN), Smooth Jazz, Salem Communications (The WRRD), and KFNX.
Susan serves on the Board of Directors for Lad Lake, a non-profit organization providing services to at-risk youth and their families. She is also on the Board of Directors of WCAN-Waukesha County Action Network. In her free time, she enjoys her two daughters, Lisa and Alex; her three cats, Mo, Teddy and Jack; ballroom dancing; boating; and her serene lake home. On June 7th, 2007, Susan K. Wehrley opened her Lakeview Center in Pewaukee, WI...a long-time dream to have a retreat-like center for people to come and meet for Strategic Planning, Training and Coaching.
